The Items; Is Fashion Modern at the MoMA is an ambitious and far ranging show. It offers a unique perspective on the history and evolution of fashion, exploring everything from the simple white t, to a famous couture Issey Miyake gown. This show is absolutely worth a visit - on display at the MoMA through January 2018.
Issey Miykae's 1997 "A-POC Queen" is a piece made from a single thread. Constructed with a computer programmed industrial knitting machine, the gown is the original "zero waste garment."
