After many years, I finally returned last month to Venice, this time with kids and husband in tow.
It was amazing to experience it through my daughters' eyes and for that reason, it felt like I also experienced it for the very first time. There is nothing in the world like it. There never will be. It is both incredibly ancient and modern simultaneously. The light, architecture, food, air, and people ignite all the senses.
I hope to go again very soon.
At least some of us got some sleep on the plane!
