What do you do at Lori Weitzner Design?
We all do a little of everything, but I’m the project manager for our passementerie line with Samuel and Sons, LWD Jewelry, Ode to Color, and our card line with Papyrus.
What did you go to school for?
I was a fibers major at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. I also enjoyed taking ceramics and art history courses while I was there.
How did you get started at Lori Weitzner Design?
As a student I was accepted as a summer intern at Lori Weitzner Design. Now, several years later, I’ve returned as part of the design team.
Favorite part of your job?
My favorite part is having a variety of projects to work on. There’s always something new and exciting in the works!
What's one thing you can’t live without?
I know it’s corny to say, but I don’t know where I would be without my friends and family.
Matisse and van Gogh
What is a goal you have for yourself at the moment?
I want to explore New York and find some new activities to get involved in. I’m thinking about trying kickboxing or Bhangra.
I can’t decide. It’s a close call between Clue and Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
One piece of advice you can offer somebody who wants a job like yours?
Enthusiasm, hard work, and an eagerness to learn can lead to amazing opportunities. I also believe that it’s important to be open to change.
Last weekend with my aunt Shirley - note the hat! :)
